Shane is a London-based jewelry artist with a professional background in product design. He graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts and is currently pursuing an MA in Jewellery & Metal at the Royal College of Art (RCA) in the UK. He is also a jewelry appraiser, evaluator, and jade carving artist. His works have been exhibited in Beijing, Los Angeles, and London. His piece was featured on the cover of Youth Vision, and reported by Sina news, etc. Shane’s work has also been recognized by awards such as the MUSE (USA) and so on. In 2025, he continues to maintain an active presence, participating as both a collaborating artist and an independent curator in “no longer, not yet”, an exhibition held at two of London’s major interdisciplinary art institutions—the Barbican Centre Conservatory and the ICA.
Shane’s creative practice focuses on Eastern cultural contexts and identity formation. Employing ethnographic research methods, he examines rituals, bodily experiences, and emotional expression within cross-cultural circulation, engaging deeply with diverse cultural practices including those of the Miao and Dong ethnic groups, as well as Tibetan Buddhism.
At the intersection of high jewelry and experimental materials, he continues to explore the boundaries between perception, tactility, and symbolism, revealing an artistic expression that is both narrative and spiritually resonates.
